Alexander Riabov is a Communications Manager at the Institute for Security and Technology.
Previously working for high profile organizations including the World Bank Group and the Embassy of France to the United States, Alexander is experienced with high-level external communications, working to raise awareness and increase engagement fora a broad range of international institutions including NGOs and governments. Through his experience, Alexander has focused on understanding and promoting emerging digital technologies as they become the forefront for many government policies, international investments, and global solutions.
Alexander joins IST from the Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL) at the United Nations Foundation, an organization committed to identifying the most effective and efficient digital solutions to promote the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. At DIAL, Alexander led the strategy and implementation of DIAL’s social media and online communications.
Alexander holds a B.A in International Studies and is a graduate from American University’s School of International Service with a year’s experience at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Alexander is also fluent in Russian with proficiency in French and Portuguese.
