Andrew Jensen is a senior at Utah Valley University majoring in National Security Studies, Computer Science, and Applied Data Analytics, with a concentration in terrorism, cybersecurity, AI/ML. With his cross-disciplinary background, he has written and published on international security, international relations, emerging technology, tech competition, sustainable development, design thinking, systems thinking, and innovation.
He works extensively on projects that use technologies to improve data-driven decision-making models, prescient real-time analysis, and user experience. Jensen is also extensively involved at UVU as a representative to the United Nations. He presented to ECOSOC during the 2018 High Level Political Form, represented UVU as a panelist on sustainability and climate change at United Nations special events, and was a committee member on the Youth Committee for the 2019 United Nations Civil Society Conference. He leads teams within the UVU Excellence & Innovation Initiative and the Center for the Advancement of Leadership. Jensen is passionate about technology, innovation, and security.
