Nik Urlaub is a cyber security & resilience researcher at the National Renewable Energy Lab. He comes from an electrical engineering background having started his career by spending seven years working for Power Engineers, an engineering consulting firm, as a SCADA engineer. Following that Nik has worked on the cyber security of industrial control systems at MITRE for six years where he was the Critical Infrastructure Resiliency and Safety Capability Area Lead. Nik’s diverse background uniquely positions him to provide unique insight into the intersection of cybersecurity and power systems.
