Gurcharan Gill is a policy professional specializing in nuclear nonproliferation and energy security, currently serving as a Federal Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA). She leads a $10 million nuclear security portfolio across Asia and the Middle East to reduce the global presence of weapons-usable nuclear material in civil nuclear technologies, managing international projects, providing policy analysis, negotiating agreements, and supervising technical work with U.S. national laboratories.
Previously, at Tetra Tech, she managed a global energy sector portfolio exceeding $95 million, strengthening energy security across 26 countries and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia implementing community-based health and education projects. She holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. She co-authored the 2024 U.S. Energy Trilemma report for the World Energy Council, and has received multiple professional honors, including the DOE/NNSA Mentor of the Year Award and the FHI 360 Notice of Outstanding Work Award.
