Yoav Tzfati is a Member of Technical Staff at the Security Level 5 Task Force, focusing on supply chain and machine security. He works under the mentorship of Lisa Thiergart through the MATS program, collaborating on technical standards and demos for these security areas. Prior to SL5, Yoav participated in MATS where he innovated on experimental methodology for evaluating AI alignment techniques including Consultancy and Critiques in synthetic settings, mentored by Julian Michael of NYU Alignment Research Group. At CyCognito, he drove the engineering for their attack surface discovery automation project, reducing analyst demo time from 6 days to half a day. He also served as Tech Lead at Arbor Trading Bootcamp and previously served in a leading technological unit as a mechanical designer. Yoav brings expertise in security systems, distributed computing, algorithm design, and bridging theoretical requirements with practical implementation.
