Christian Steins was a Technology Policy Analyst for the Institute for Security and Technology’s CATALINK team. His research focused on nuclear risk reduction, international crisis communication and mesh networks, nuclear hotlines, emerging technologies, and diplomacy at the intersection of policy and technology.
Christian graduated from the University of Michigan where he earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in History. More recently Christian spent the last year in the United Kingdom, pursuing an M.A. in Intelligence and International Security within the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. His M.A. thesis investigates the impact of special forces deployments on the evolution of American policy and long-term strategy throughout the conflict in Afghanistan.
