IST Announces New Cyber, AI Adjunct Advisors 

April 24, 2025 – Experts in the fields of cybersecurity, quantum, AI, and more, the Institute for Security and Technology (IST)’s adjunct advisors work closely with our core team to identify emerging security challenges and translate discourse into action.

Today, IST is honored to announce the addition of five new adjunct advisors to our Future of Digital Security and Geopolitics of Technology efforts. We are excited to welcome Jack Cable, Jonah Force Hill, Rob Knake, Alyssa Lefaivre Skopac, and Munish Walther-Puri to our expanding network of experts and practitioners who guide and advise our work.

Jack Cable joins as an Adjunct Senior Technical Advisor. A coder, hacker, and government leader, Jack has a breadth of experience at the intersection of cybersecurity and public policy. Until January 2025, he served as a Senior Technical Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), where he helped lead the agency’s Secure by Design initiative. Jack recently co-founded Corridor, a start-up developing a secure-by-design AI platform. 

Jonah Force Hill joins as an Adjunct Senior Advisor for Quantum Technology, bringing to IST decades of experience in quantum tech policy from his time across the U.S. Secret Service, Department of Commerce, Department of State, and the White House. He is currently Head of the U.S. Business Development & Government Affairs at Xanadu, a leading quantum computing hardware and software company, and Co-Director of the Commission on U.S. Quantum Leadership at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Rob Knake joins as a Senior Adjunct Policy Advisor. An expert in cybersecurity and incident response, Rob previously served as the first Deputy National Cyber Director to the Office of the National Cyber Director at the White House. In this role, he led the development of the National Cybersecurity Strategy, one of the first-ever federal cybersecurity budget priorities, among other initiatives. He is a principal at Orkestrel, a cybersecurity consultancy.

Alyssa Lefaivre Škopac joins as a Senior Policy Advisor for Responsible AI. She is the Director of AI Trust & Safety at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), one of Canada’s leading AI research institutions. She plays a key role supporting  the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute (CAISI) and leads a team conducting critical AI safety research, bridging the gap between research and real-world applications. With over 15 years of experience in ecosystem and partnership development, Alyssa is known for building high-impact collaborations and driving the responsible innovation and adoption of AI.

Munish Walther-Puri joins as an Adjunct Senior Advisor for Cyber and Supply Chain Risk. A seasoned security strategist and risk advisor, Munish served as the first Director of Cyber Risk for New York City Cyber Command, where he built and led the citywide program and team to identify, assess, and minimize cyber risk, including large scale and third party incidents. He is also Adjunct Faculty at the NYU SPS Center for Global Affairs and IANS Research
